About Us

Cristóbal Colón Spanish Language School was founded on April 4, 1997 by the Notaria 17ª in Quito and is dedicated to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. The school has been authorised to operate as an educational establishment by Ecuador’s Ministry of Education since 1996, Nª 029-SD-DINEPP.

Degree in Castilian Literature (1990); PhD in Educational Research at the Central University of Ecuador (1996); 15 years as a Spanish teacher in Ecuador and various countries in South America and Europe. Founder and current director of the Cristóbal Colón Spanish School in Quito - Ecuador. Co- Author of The Sistema IE “System of teaching and learning Spanish as a foreign language” textbooks written in standard lexic communication.

Degree in Castilian Literature (1990); Educational Research Director at the Central University of Ecuador(1993); 22 years as a Spanish language teacher.

Academic Director at Cristóbal Colón Spanish School in Quito,

Professor at the San Francisco University in Quito, and AECON Corporation in Canada.

Author of the IE System, the system for teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Currently the director of IE International in Spanish. Ecuador
