All teachers at Cristóbal Colón Spanish Language School are
required to have a university degree. Most are professionals,
specialising in language and literature or multilingual studies.
However, some have completed their degree in areas such as tourism,
education, history, law, or administration.
All teachers at Cristóbal Colón Spanish Language School have
obtained a Spanish teaching diploma from Instituto
IE after undergoing several training courses.
In addition, the teachers are also provided with training by
the the director of the school, Jose Aguirre.

All teachers at Cristóbal Colón Spanish Language School have
at least three years of teaching experience and all are equiped
with a basic knowledge of English, which allows them to aid
their students’ understanding when necessary. Being youthful
and dynamic, the teachers are able to participate in different
activities, both inside and outside the school. Teachers are
also available before and after classes to help students with
activities such as shopping or experiencing the city`s nightlife.
Their academic background, charismatic personalities and their
sincere enthusiasm for teaching are the main factors which ensure
the success of Cristóbal Colón Spanish Language School teachers
in their work as well as in fulfilling the expectations of their
students.
Each teacher at Cristóbal Colón Spanish Language School is
registered at the Ministry of Employment, under a professional
contract and are thus entitled to receive social security under
Ecuadorian law.
